The Rules

*Subject to change without notice!

1. Steve and Briana shall eat at every restaurant on College Avenue, starting at Broadway in Oakland and ending at Bancroft Way in Berkeley.

1a. A "restaurant" is defined as any establishment where food is cooked, prepared, or scooped into a cup or cone.

1b. If there is any doubt as to whether a particular establishment qualifies as a "restaurant" the decision of whether or not to eat there will be left up to Briana and Steve.

2. The order of restaurants shall be determined based on the proximity of each restaurant's doorway to Broadway. In the event of a tie, the restaurant with the bigger door wins. If both doors are the same size, then the next restaurant will be selected based on its street address.

3. Steve and Briana must eat their food at the restaurant. No take-out.

3a. If there is no table seating, then Steve and Briana must eat their meal as close to the restaurant as legally possible.

4. Briana and Steve are allowed to eat at other restaurants on College Avenue out of order, but those meals will not count for the purposes of this tour, and they will still have to eat at those restaurants again when it is that restaurant's turn.

5. If a new restaurant opens after we've already passed the point where that restaurant is located, then that restaurant immediately goes to the top of the list, and Steve and Briana must eat there before they can continue to the next restaurant.

6. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

A little background...

We are Steve and Briana. We live in Oakland, CA. We like to eat. A little over a year ago (Jan. 2008) we decided to try to eat at every restaurant on Piedmont Avenue. Tonight we completed our mission! Unfortunately, we didn't document our Piedmont Avenue trek very well. This time we're going to eat at every restaurant on College Avenue, and this time we're taking photos documenting our adventures on this blog.

Our last restaurant on Piedmont was Adesso, which opened recently, and it's a good thing because otherwise we would have been toasting our victory at the Honeybaked Ham Company. Adesso is a place where you could go for tapas or for drinks, or, oddly enough, Foosball. The interior is classy and stylish. Also, it reminded us of the inside of the hatch from Lost. Here are some pictures:

This drink was called "the billionaire", it was like a hot-toddy but cold.

This salad was amazing, but we can't remember what it was called. Something-franco, or something. It started with a "c".

Frittata (frittawesome), Salumi (solid), and Piadina (pretty good).

Affogato.

All done!
